This idea can be summarized in one word: 'talent'.

We provide art spaces for cultural activities ('culture', as you have known, automatically encompasses arts), as long as they are performed by those with presentable talents.

Therefore Langgeng's enterprises might have seemed like 'anything goes', and, indeed, it does -- but we are not going to get rid of artistic standards in the matter.

In other words, we would be honored to host an event commonly known as a fine art show (whether it is of paintings, drawings, sculptures, installation art works, or objects), a newer kind of art show (such as video art, animation, art movie), a cutting-edge artistic feat (no matter how the artist defines it), as well as literary events (poetry reading, publishing, philosophical discussion, etc.) and performance arts (including music, theatrical performances and dance).

There are so many young artists out there accomplishing much in non-conventional (some say even provocative) arts and peripherial arts. Playing host to them is something we cherish -- if those meet the standards. That is 'the Langgeng way'.

However, Langgeng is basically a literary and fine art space, so our focus is clear. We have been holding musical events, dance, and so forth, as interludes, as parts of the literary and fine art programs.

To all of our cultural events, admission is free, and everyone is welcome.
