 1952 – 59 Finish education (Doctorandus Degree) at University of Indonesia, Bandung Technology Faculty (Now know as Bandung Institute of Technologi or ITB).
1959 – 98 Lecturer at Bandung Institute of Technology, the Fine Art Department (Now know as Fine Art and Design Faculty or FSRD-ITB).
1960 – 62 Finish education (Master of Arts degree) at the Ohio State University.
1969 – 70 Secretary of the Fine Art Dapartment, ITB.
1970 – 73 Head of the Art Department, ITB.
1970 – 88 Lecturer at the Jakarta Fine Arts Academy or LPKJ (Now know as Jakarta Institute of the Arts-LPKJ or IKJ).
1973 – 77 Head of the Fine Art Academy – LPKJ
1979 – 80 Reserch program at Fulbright – Hays Fellowship at the Ohio State University (OSU), USA.

1992 Inagurated as Profesor for Bandung Intitute of Technology (ITB).
1996 Guest Lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Bribane, Australia.
2004 Visiting Expert Examiner for the examination panel of Jakarta Institute of the Arts (IKJ).
